After working on the issues of harm reduction and access to care for drug users in precarious situations, I investigated the history of mobilizations for health and the environment in a heavily polluted area: the south of Lyon. Involved in an academic partnership with Vet Agro Sup, I have also been working on zoonoses issues at different scales (Lyme disease and brucellosis). My research questions intersect with issues of public health and environmental health, fields which have a strong resonance with the health and political crisis we’ve been through with the covid19 pandemic. Since 2006, I have been working in a variety of fields and on a variety of subjects, studying the transformations of public health policies. They raise both classic questions about legitimacy struggles between actors and professions claiming to be involved in prevention, care and medicine. They also raise new questions about the capacity of political systems to react and anticipate, and about the relationship between ecosystems, wildlife and domestic animals. They are part of an innovative perspective, both in terms of the subjects dealt with and the methods used, and in terms of their multi-disciplinary and socially-oriented approach.
